The course played very
tough on the day and it
was enjoyed by some and
loathed by others. Some
of the holes really did
take your breath away
and I mean that
literately, the 150 yard
par 3 8th was
one of those holes, I
heard stories of
seasoned players hitting
anything between a 4
iron and a 3 wood, that
was the easy part then,
you have to get up to
the green which was the
part that took your
breath away.
Like all the days this
year and for many years
to come, it was tinged
with sadness, as our
friend Daryl Oxley was
not in the line up.
However, Cass did
himself and Daryl proud
as he is the only man
other then the Ox to
have won back to back
trophies, this was met
with a standing round of
applause for both of
these guys and well
deserved it was too.
Cass enjoy your season,
you have an appointment
with Greg Worrell our
new and very keen
executioner sorry I mean
handicap secretary.
