Russell
Joseph was the clubhouse
leader with 37 points
after the morning round.
Following closely behind
on 36 points were Colin
Parson and Stuart Austrie. With Sedwick
Gordon, Malcolm O’Garro,
Steve Garner and Keith
Murray all within a few
points there was
everything still to play
for. The big question
was could Russell repeat
his heroics of the
morning ?
The final
positioning had started
to take shape with a
bunch of players on a
total of 64 all hoping
and praying it was
enough to secure some
silverware. Dean Witter
was fortunate enough to
pick up 5th
place with 64 pts on
count-back with a solid
35 points in the
afternoon. In 4th
place on 66 pts was
Stuart (36 + 30). The
top 3 spots were
dominated by relative
newcomers to the ACGA,
all of whom have won
majors in the last 12
months and all feature
very prominently on the
Order or Merit table. On
this occasion top spot
goes to Colin Parsons
with a very commendable
72 points (36 + 36),
Colin is a fantastic
golfer, very gracious in
victory, paying tributes
to his playing partners
and full of admiration
for the achievements of
the ACGA.
