Arise Lady Captain Jacqui

Jacqui Harbor has followed in a long line of ACGA members such as Ossie Roberts, Colin Parson, Lynette Mapp, Ernie Owusu and George Grant, by being named (Lady) Captain of their golf clubs. Having joined Chesfield Downs Golf Club in 2012, Jacqui initially did not play as much as she desired due to work commitments (British Airways), but eventually increased her participation in club events and matches as the years rolled by. After Covid, Jaqui began playing regularly and taking part in all club activities in the ladies section, of which there are 88 members. In 2023/2024, Jaqui was asked by the Captain, to run and captain the Ladies’ Friendly Match Team against other clubs (10 matches a year). This led, much to Jaqui’s surprise, to being asked to be Vice Captain in 2025 and now Captain 2026 . Jacqui also served with distinction as ACGA Captain from 2013 - 2014, as well as several stints as Social Secretary. She has also been instrumental in the ACGA supporting our main two charities over the years. Jacqui has a great Vice Captain and Committee behind her, and is looking forward to a wonderful golfing season at Chesfield Downs. I know the ACGA family will congratulate Jacqui and do what they can to help her year as Lady Captain be as successful as possible..
